Mr Luca, the Moretop Owner and Founder, to hear his story

As Moretop company, we are on a journey to get to know our employees' stories, the more we know each other the more we understand each other's life journey. As a company that has a culture of TEAM SPIRIT, we believe this would create more understanding of each other, trust one another, create a bond, and also to have the spirit of unity. So we are conducting interviews with each and every key person of the Moretop company, to get to know and understand their roles in the company. Today we have interviewed our 2nd key person, the Moretop Owner and Founder, Mr Luca to hear his story. Below are the questions and answers for our interview with him this morning.
Qstn 1. What inspired you to start this company, and what problems does it solve?
Ans: As an International Business major graduate, I started working in tool industry in 2002. I spent 8 years (2002 – 2010), and learned that most of the tools being sold were DIY and poor quality and there was no room for growth and improvement. So this gave many people a stereotype saying that Chinese products are not of good quality. Then in 2013, I decided to start a company that provided good quality tools globally, the main goal was to change the narrative that people already had towards Chinese products.
Qstn: 2. Can you share your vision for the company's future, and how do you see it evolving?
Ans: On that question, l would like to answer it in two, which is my mission and vision. My mission is to help 100 small and medium-sized companies to become the strongest tool brand in local market. Then my vision is to help corporate partners to achieve financial success and make Moretop brand to be leader in the global tool industry.
3. What sets this company apart from its competitors, and what's its unique value proposition?
Ans: “Professionalism, unique design and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) are factors that give Moretop Tools significant competitive advantage. Important to mention that we focus a lot on providing better service to our valued partners.
1. Follow closely with Tool Benchmark and offering similar/higher quality products
2. One stop solution for power tool accessories.
3. Provide Value Added Services
4. Tool business consulting services.
5. How would you describe the company culture, and what values are most important to you?
Ans: Unlike many other companies, we have different things that set us apart from the rest, as a company it is our culture to always:
1.Craftsman spirit
2.Teamwork spirit
3.Personal/Self growth and development
4. What are the biggest challenges you've faced as a founder, and how have you overcome them?
5. Ans: The biggest challenge I have faced as the founder is unknown the path to the final success, but I have managed to overcome it by craftsman spirit through hardworking, and never stop learning.
6. How do you approach innovation, and what initiatives are in place to drive growth?
Ans: To answer this question, I would like to distinguish these two things according to my definition which are invention and innovation, an invention is when someone comes up with their own 100% new ideas of something, yet for me innovation is when you use other peoples ideas/ inspiration, upgrade them or continue to alter an idea until it becomes the best. You can only achieve this when you learn from others(benchmarks), to keep learning from the best.
7.Can you tell me about a recent success story or achievement the company is proud of?
Ans: Partner with KB Bits, as world’s fastest drill bits, and market it globally successfully; Built Moretop R&D center in Denmark for innovative tools in 2023.
8. How does the company approach employee development, and what opportunities are there for growth?
Ans: I treat Moretop as a platform for every members’ growing-up. In Moretop, everyone work hard to adding up their own values to himself, company and also the country. Working hard & Play Hard. It would definitely be a memorable journey in Moretop company.
9. What are the short-term and long-term goals for the company, and how does this role contribute to achieving them?
Ans: My short-term plan is to reach $15 million turnover within 2-3 years.
Then my long-term plan is to make Moretop China as a global supply center and customer service center, with the sales team/office globally.
Advice:
Each person’s life and goals are quite different and so is our path, but the most common dream we all have is achieving one’s dreams and earning money. But in short, l would encourage you all to:
